If you’re looking to get your home listed, here’s five ways that you can make your house more appealing to buyers.
Number one: Besides the obvious (regular cleaning), make sure your house is free of all clutter and personal items. This is going to make it a lot easier for people that come in to imagine themselves living in your house with their stuff.
Number two: Make any necessary repairs. Look for damaged walls, leaky faucets, and anything that could deter people from wanting to buy your house.
Three: Freshen up the paint in the house. Have you noticed that a lot of the new builds and houses that go on the market have the more neutral colors? There’s a lot of greys, a lot of whites…. that’s for a reason. You want to appeal to the highest amount of people and fresh paint is definitely going to help.
Four: Update light fixtures and Hardware. You don’t necessarily need to renovate your entire bathroom. If you can just swap out some of the fixtures, it’ll look a whole lot nicer and a lot more appealing.
The fifth and final tip: Make sure you’ve got great curb appeal. This can include anything from the landscaping, mulch, nice flowers, pressure washing the driveway, making sure there’s no green stuff on your siding, fresh paint on the front door….
All of these things can make a big impact and when put together, even bigger.
